Just wanted to confirm that what Kemosobe said is true - Got a look at a 96 master cylinder and the brake master cylinder from the 96 does have the lines attaching on the passenger side, while the Sonett has them attaching on the driver side.
In a pinch, if you were remanufacturing your brake lines, one should be able to use the 96 master cylinder. Not sure if one could squeeze the stock lines to fit, however.
