There is a small adjustment screw on the back of the clock which you turn in the + or - direction as marked to go faster or slower. It is very difficult to get to with the clock in the car. The clock is held in by a U-shaped bracket and easily removed. If you remove it you can connect it to a separate 12V battery and play with it for as long as necessary to get it adjusted correctly--it is just a trial and error process.
