I had a problem with the fuel boiling in my Weber untill I put a heat spacer between carb and manifold. I'm sure there was a certain amount of evaporation. The main symtom though was that it just ran like crap especially if I let it sit for a few minute then restart. I don't think it was boiling while the engine was running, but would heat way up when the the fuel stopped flowing. With the Weber 2 bl you can look right down into the float chamber but probably not true with the other carbs. If you really think your losing fuel I'd take the top of the carb off after letting it sit for a couple of days. Unless heat is causing evaporation I would think that a crack in the bowl would be the problem if the fuel dissapears.
