Hi, I have a question I was hoping some more knowledgeable Enthusiasts may know the answer to.

I have a 1973 Sonett that is green. It is the same color green that I have seen other Sonetts. Not sure what the "Official" color title is (anyone know that too?). Anyway, There are a couple of spots on the car where the green has been nicked off and underneath it is yellow. I know the car has been re-painted at one time but it appears to have been a dang good job as all the surfaces are that color. My question is this: is the yellow underneath the color of the gelcote? Also, how can the VIN be decifered to figure out the original color to ensure that mine is just that?

Any help will greatly appreciated. Thank you.
