You probably do not need a new cylinder head. I have never seen one so badly damaged, even when a valve breaks dropping its head into the combustion chamber, that it could not be resurrected.
You should have hardened valve seats installed in the heads while they are at the shop, if this has not been previously done.
It might be feasible to repair the damaged pistons (sounds like more than one?) but probably more sensible to replace them. There are some pistons from other engines that can be used. Sorry I cannot identify any of them specifically.
Simply putting in high-compression pistons without an organized program of upgrading the whole engine will probably not yield great results. The easy way to improve V4 performance is by upgrading carburetion and exhaust systems.
Search "Northern Power Products," they have a lot of V4 parts.
