...if you don't care about originality.
As received, my car had no headlight switch at all (previous owner had substituted fixed lights in the grill, wired to a toggle switch on the dash) and after I got the pop-ups working again, I needed to come up with something.
I bought a roller-tipped microswitch at Radio Shack (similar to their current catalog # 275-017) and soldered leads and spade terminals onto it so it would hook up to the switch terminals on the original wiring harness. This switch is a lot smaller than the original, so I made a simple bracket (piece of 1/2-inch-wide flat steel with a 90-degree bend at one end) and secured the switch to it with zip ties. The bracket bolted to the original mounting hole and allowed me to move the switch to a position where it would be struck just right by the bent-metal tang on the headlight pushrod.
The original idea was to use this switch as a temporary fix until I was able to find the factory-type switch. However, it has worked so well that even though I have an original switch now, I haven't bothered to install it.
