this has been a 3 year project peiceing the car togther and i used a weber 34ich with a jack ashcraft instalation kit, i did change the jets, and adjust the float level (checked twice) i did this because the engine didnt have a carb when we got it (came in about 20 rubbermaid tubs stacked in a rolling chassis with the body just resting flimsy on top)it has a brand new stainless steel fuel line and all new hoses, brand new fuel filter as well. i think it may be a clogged fuel filter problem because this is still the first tank of gas that the tank has held in a long time (i cleaned out the tank but did not seal it) so there may be some crud still in there. other than the stutter (when the engine is straining) it runs VERY smoothly, my uncle owns a repair shop/used car dealer ship in town and mentioned how smooth the engine sounds. it revs easily all the way up to redline which is why i think of fuel pressure so i'm going to see if my uncle has a pressure gauge i can barrow and check that out in the morning, as well as time the car and i'll let you know how it turns out :)
