But it will probably come with a built-in regulator. Better for reliability, but worse for keeping to the original look. I have one, and it's great. The extra amps help with the H4 conversions for the old sealed beam headlights.
You'll have to swap over off the pulley, and "fan"; don't forget how they came off--so you'll be able to put them on the new one correctly.
One strange quirk--after you start the car, it will not charge (the alternator light is lit) untill the revs pass about 1800 rpm. Then it's good for all rpms. It could be that the windings aren't energized, or to let the car start without the alternator load.
