how horizontal is your carb?

I checked if my carb was in a nice horizontal position and found out that it is tilting forward pretty much. This was surprising as the carb on my 96 sits almost level. The Sonett carb is a Weber 32/36 on a 2bbl manifold. How are your carbs situated? Is it normal for a Sonett that the engine lies more horizontal than in a 96? The engine mounts are of the standard type. It wouldn't surprise me if the nose is a bit too low as a result of sagged springs; the occasional tyre rub on sharp turns and the engine dying out during heavy braking would be explained by it.
TIA,
Alex
