If you search this and the Vintage board for "brake master" you will find a fair amount of information. I posted a few years ago a fairly detailed description of changing my '69 model 95 wagon to a Datsun M/C that is readily available new, and cheap. Your Sonett does not use the same M/C as my 95, that was a 2- or 3-year only unit, but I am sure that a similar conversion is possible on the Sonett, or possibly even the same. I doubt that there is any direct conversion to a different M/C--any changeover will require some adaptation--but once the adaptation is accomplished to fit a readily available cylinder, you should be set for life. Praacticality of changing over to a different unit will depend greatly on your mechanical prowess.
As far as I recall, in the various posts that a search will bring up rumoring possible replacement cylinders, no part numbers are given except in my own which (IRRC) does identify a specific Datsun cylinder.
If any British cars used the same unit as your Sonett, the people at Moss Motors would probably know, you can google them.
What you want to do is certainly feasible but not a novice project.
