Tough question, based on the little info you've given.
I have two Sonett's, and constantly check prices on these cars. That is on the higher side for a Sonett. That kind of money will buy one with a rebuilt motor and trans, very good to excellent fiberglass and interior, no rust, and nothing too much wrong with it.
Brakes- it most likely means the dreaded master cylinder is leaking. Dreaded because it is very difficult to remove and replace with the nose on. Some even cut an access hole in the driverside front wheel well to get at the stupid thing. Rebuilding/resleeving with cost you $300. A full up total brake job front to back with everything new will cost you $500 in parts. If you think about it, not too bad- you can spend that on your minivan for brake parts.
All Sonett headliners fall down. Fixing is not terribly bad- Ashcraft sells a kit for a couple hundred and you can do it yourself. Or take it to your friendly local auto upolstery shop and pay them to do it.
Is it REALLY 37,000 miles? When was it last driven?
So tell me more details about the car and I'll give you a better answer.
