Color: Burgundy (Originally Green) Trans: Manual Mileage: 85k Price: $6,000
Rust free So Cal car with lightly built motor and Weber carb. Seats are re-upholstered and a couple after-market gauges installed for oil pressure and temp. Wiring looks a bit hokey but is a great candidate for someone to make a great daily driver. No headliner or rear shelf for spare tire. All 5 soccer ball wheels included. Dark tint. Good tires in the wrong size (a bit wide). Aux lights work. Needs a bit of attention to be really nice aside from the incorrect color. A good honest car for the Sonett enthusiast looking for a driver to park next to their concours car in the garage. Value of these cars is growing daily and there are fewer and fewer everyday to chose from. I will be correcting things on this car in the coming weeks and the price will reflect such attention. Car is currently in the Temecula area but will be brought home to Phoenix this week. You can follow the progress of it and more classic Saab models on Instagram @desert_obsolete

Very rare saab Sonett... Very few around and even less for sale in this condition. No rust no bondo. no filler, runs great, have some service history, has original Ford V4 engine, factory radio dash is perfect, pop ups work perfect but needs headlight bulbs... I never drive it at night so was not important to me.

Purchased in 2001 from second owner. Reliable and great fun to drive. Original
owner - an engineer who raced SAABs and open-wheel cars - took great care to
immediately enhance the rustproofing. It worked. Engine rebuilt 2001 at The
Foreign Service (MN) at 70,572 miles. Upgrades produce significantly increased
power: Motor Sport Service intake and exhaust manifolds and carburetor, plus new
from MSS pistons (+ .032 oversize), lifters, street cam, steel timing gear set
and main, rod, cam and balance shaft bearings. Heads with bigger hardened valves
and seats, lightened flywheel. Electric cooling fan, Jack Ashcraft coolant
filter. Brake and clutch systems renewed and converted to DOT 5 silicone fluid:
Brake master re-sleeved, front calipers rebuilt, new front rotors, pads and rear
wheel cylinders. Transaxle rebuilt 9/2016 by Tom Donney in Fort Dodge with Tom's
recommended upgrades: New/modified clutch disk and pressure plate, freewheel
locked out. Solid original pan, rocker panels, etc: No rust to repair! Original
paint. Rare OEM/Scandix dual exhaust. Correct Vredestein Sprint Classic 155SR15
tires. Wheels never blasted: Original machining marks and center caps. Cibie
headlights and period-correct driving lights. Seats with sheepskin seating
surfaces plus original seats.
Email or call for pictures or questions. Drive it home!

Color: California Burgundy Trans: Manual Mileage: 50,000 Price: $6,750
Selling my 1973 Saab Sonett. Car is in very good condition with all the hard work done. Texas car, still have original window sticker. Originally orange and now painted California Burgundy. New clutch, slave and master cylinders, all freeze plugs replaced, wiper motor rebuilt, new head and valve cover gaskets, radiator flushed, new mufflers. Runs and drives well; transmission has light whine but shifts very smoothly. Interior is in good condition; seats have been redone. All original glass. The headliner has an occasional sag as these cars are known for; may want attention down the road. Soccer ball wheels in great condition and car comes with a second set. Also including additional spare parts and extensive vehicle documentation. Please contact me for additional photos, questions, or if you'd like to take a look.

Great running '74 Sonett III. My parents bought it in 1981 and I inherited it about 13 years ago. Has been stored indoors since 1981 and not driven in snow/rain. Reliable and incredibly fun although it is time to pass it on. Issues: some rust as expected on rockers and front floor pan although still structurally intact (trunk pan is fine), mild oil seepage from left head or valve cover which I have not had time to investigate. Recently repainted yellow, many parts replaced in the last 5 years: Cooling, clutch, ignition, intake, exhaust systems COMPLETELY redone. Interior is excellent and leather seats are flawless. Everything works except a/c which was removed. All repairs were meticulously performed the right way and I have taken excellent care of this car. Please contact me for more information.
