Color: Yellow Trans: Manual Mileage: 34,000* Price: $7,000
Great fun to drive and mechanically sound. Solid floor pan, frame straight no rust. Paint has some spidering and chips but still looks decent from 30 ft. There is even a 5-point racing harness but I never used it. Headliner not sagging. 5th soccer ball in trunk. I also have Sonett service manual. Car is complete. Known problems: Brake reservoir has small leak, Front bumper on right side has rusted connectors and has started to pull away. Car runs strong, trans is smooth and car is very solid with some repairs upon close examination but a great driver.

This car is a premier "head turner" anytime it's driven. It runs great, can be driven home but you will need a trailer or truck to haul the extensive collection of spare parts accumulated over the past 44 years of ownership. The current (second) owner is now too old to properly maintain, drive and enjoy this treasure and is looking to find a new home for it. I purchased this car on April 9, 1975 in California when it had 7,365 miles. It has been well maintained and garaged since then and now has 120,000+ miles. It runs great and is driven about once a week. Maintenance records have been maintained documenting everything (including synthetic oil changes) except very routine items. Although cars this age typically have had major modification, this one has had only minor ones such as conversion to a manual choke, non-original mufflers and a solid state ignition system. There is a collection of spare parts (will not sell separately) that go with the car that is worth thousands of dollars. Some of the more important items include a spare (used) V-4 Ford engine, water pumps, carburetors, starter, alternator, voltage regulator, CV boots and dashboard instrument panel components (tachometer, temperature gauge, speedometer, etc.). Included is a Florida 1973 license plate that can be used if registering the car in Florida. Also included are 4 steel wheels that fit a SAAB Model 96 sedan. An extensive collection of documents go with the car. The original owner's manual, and the original shop repair manual are all in good shape. There are also several volumes (3-ring binders) of "Nines", the SAAB Club newsletter from the 1980's and other documents that are indispensable to repairing the Sonett. In summary, you will be purchasing one of the most attractive sport cars with plenty of spare parts and repair instructions to keep it running. SERIOUS inquiries only.
