Reliable daily driver or restoration candidate with less than 50K miles. Good runner, starts reliably and runs smoothly, all electrical systems work, burns no oil, 4 very good Dunlop 195SR15 tires. Weber 34 ICT carb, electronic ignition, MSS exhaust. Ashcraft stop light switch, throttle rod, and shifter kits as well as new interior door panels (in box). New brake hoses installed several years ago. Underbody rust perforation on right rocker panel, exhaust hanger areas, front edge of trunk. Totally repainted in original True Blue color about 5 years ago after minor left front end collision, some minor paint bubbling on hood. Saab V4 and Sonett shop manuals. Located in Tulsa, OK. I'm Leaving California (sometimes next year) and as there is no Bud Clark where I'm moving to, I'm considering selling my 1973 Sonett. Engine and transmission renovated by Bud and Ted. I may have some 200-300 miles since renovation. Engine completely rebuildt with hotter cam, heads, pistons, manifold, carburator, ignition and radiator and electric fan. Also, spare parts included, 2 engines, 1 (or 2??) trannies + a lot of other parts. I don't think there is any part of a Sonett that I don't have. I have the car in Big Bear City, CA and you can get it and all the parts and all related books for the price above.

Engine completely rebuilt (including rebuilt carb and distributor), ready to drop into chassis. Heads have hardened valve seats installed for unleaded gas. Comes with a 1972 Sonett parts car! Moving must sell! Car is fairly rot free, except for trunk area (they all rust there). Pan and wheel well areas are solid. Parts car has better trunk metal that can be put into the 1973. Two complete sets of soccer ball wheels! Have all parts for car including front clip (just not in pictures). Have new rebuild kits for every single hydraulic part on the car. This is a Sonett that you can drive while you complete the restoration or it would make an excellent parts vehicle. The rockers have been re-done and the floors have been patched. The trunk floor looks like it has been covered with fiberglass. The car is driveable, but due to the conditon of the tires I would limit the driving to short distances until new tires are installed. The tires are showing their age with sidewall cracks and such, but they do hold air. The Sonett is located just north of Pittsburgh, PA. The vehicle should be trailered or have better tires installed if you would like to drive it. Shipping and delivery is the buyers responsibility, but I will help as much as I can. This Sonett is a complete vehicle and would make a great restoration project or a parts car. Included with the this vehicle are a set of Ashcraft rockers and a trunk floor. The vehicle has been in storage since 1993, but it does run. The car is not driveable because the hydraulics all need rebuilt. I also have the original window sticker for the Sonett. I have owned it for a few years and had hoped to restore it, but I have decided to sell it due to health problems. The Sonett is located just north of Pittsburgh, PA. 1974 Saab Sonett restored in 1995 or so with many new parts. The mileage is since the restoration and the engine was done by Jack Lawrence of MSS with all the receipts! The engine has the oil cooler, holley carb, new pistons, valves, over $3000 spent on the engine. The car has a great stereo that is brand new with remote. Used as a daily driver and runs great but trans is making noise so needs a rebuild and would suggest trailering the car. The car was painted and presentable for a driver but the clear coat is peeling so not the best now.

Original owner. Restored 1994 @113,000 miles with new floor, trunk, rocker panels, upholstery. Engine totally stock except for manual choke and has never needed work except for valve adjustment. The car has been sitting outdoors (except the orange/black crushed velour seats) since 1994 when the transmission went kerblooey (again). The rocker panels and trunk are mostly rusted out, but there are lots of useable parts. Included are some new shocks, air filters, manuals, and the original (?) transmission (needs rebuilding). If nobody wants it, it'll be headed for SAAB heaven, so make an offer!

Great runner, good restoration candidate, mechanically good, I drive on a regular basis. Has cosmetic issues, needs repaint & interior help, dash is in really good shape, just changed plugs & plug wires, new head covers, have a new Weber 34ich & electronic ignition that go with it, haven't had a chance to install yet. Think I have a ground problem, haven't found yet, but instrumentation recently stopped working. New rocker panels. Sonett manual & repair books to go with it. Lost my garage & have no time, this car deserves a good home.

I have a 1973 Sonett for sale. The car is located in Italy, near Venice. It is in great shape and runs very nicely. It is completely stock except for the color (which I believe was yellow originally) and a Petronix distributor. I have a bunch of spare parts located in the US and if interested, I can ship them for extra cost. Spare items include: complete doors, rear hatch glass, new outside mirrors, an original Saab radio, a nice steering wheel (can't remember the name, but it is really sweet), complete inner upholstery, complete carpet set, two additional seats (in decent shape), rear vent windows, springs, etc. Will work a package deal if you like.
