I've been a member since around 1980. The club has a nationalconvention each year, provides a monthly newsletter, and is not a bad way tostay in touch with what other saabers are up to.The newsletter contains articles by members, service bulletin reprints fromSAAB-Scania, advertisements for parts suppliers, and a yearly review ofSaab dealers and mechanics across the nation, the best and worst. Althoughmuch of the material is related to newer models, there is still some stuffon 93, 95/6/7 and 99 models.Although the club is independant of Saab-Scania, it does have their support. And many companies that advertise in the newsletter do offer discounts toclub members (although dealer would never do that). Best of all, the news-letter has a classified section that has parts, tools, manuals and all models for sale used. For the $23 bucks, it's quite handy to have the newsletter alone. It's funny to think of Duluth as a bastion of Saab fanatics, but is reallytrue. Many of the members there ice race their Saabs on frozen lakes inthe winter. About the best I ever do is spin around in a snowy parkinglot. Subscription Info:First Year members receive 2 recent back issues, and 2 SAAB Club Decals. To Join, send Name, Address, Phone No.s, [email address], appropriate fee,and a list of the Saabs you currently own to:phone: (218) 724-1336, 9am - 8pm, Monday Thru Saturday.'Become a part of the SAAB fanaticism' Posts in this Thread:
