I own an '86 SAAB 900 turbo with a littleover 50K miles on it. My local SAAB service center informed me when I lastserviced my car that I needed a new IAC (?) valve. The valve has somethingto do with the proper idling of the car. The valve part runs about$130 (is that about the right price?). The car has been running fine with the weak valve for about 3K miles, but I am beginning to worry. My question is, how difficult is it for me to replace this vavle by myself? If it isrelatively simple, how do I do it? Is it typical for this part to give outafter 50K miles (mostly highway miles)? What exactly does this valve do? Any input will be greatly appreciated.-Wayland Jeong (Hewlett-Packard, Cupertino, Ca.) Posts in this Thread:
