My '82 900 is quite un-stock, and I drive it in autocrosses andon racetracks. (...Very hard, I might add.) My goal with this car is toembarrass turbos. I have given up speeding (on the street) this year, since a very nice police officer convincingly demonstrated that Icould not possibly get away with it.On to my question. I would like to either add some driving lights orreplace the stock headlights with different units, the purpose beingto increase light available for nighttime driving. I don't want toblind anybody or punish left lane hogs, etc. I don't rally, so I don'tneed something that can light up an entire city. My night-vision hasdeteriorated (I guess due to advanced age ;-) and I just want a littlemore light.I've heard that I can replace the (stock sealed beam) headlight unitwith plug-compatible 'H-4' unit, and then I can pick any bulb thatsuits me. I've also seen lots of aftermarket 'driving/fog/snow'lights. There are so many advertised, I was hoping to draw on theexpertise of the fanatics out there.Any info anyone could provide would be appreciated, i.e., best solutions, brands, dealers, prices, etc.PS. Has anybody seen the UniPress Emacs Ads in Unix World? (Or was itUnix review?) It says (roughly): If driving your computer feels likethis: (driver's eye view of an early 70's vintage Chevy Malibu), thenUniPress Emacs will make it feel like this: (driver's eye view ofrecent vintage Saab Turbo) !!
