The seat certainly does fold down. Feel right in the center between the rear seat cushion and the seat back, you're looking for a fabric loop. Pull it out, and yank on it to release and fold up the seat cushion, you can then fold down the seat back. You now have a pickup truck suitable for sleeping, moving sofas, amplifiers and drum sets, or mass quantities of cedar mulch. Enjoy!
