I hate to preach, but as someone who does this for a living
the boxes are very stylish etc but for the user to have to
hover their cursor over something to see the alt text
to tell them what to do *is* a PITA. 

All they need is some text there....

Probably fine on the 'take me to the showroom' side of things but
when someone wants to go to the site and find something,
well, I know how it works and it still takes me forever
to move around it. And I'm never sure where I am.
