Electronic transducer gear
Posted by JC238 (more from JC238) on Thu, 5 Aug 1999 09:15:23
I am trying to replace the electronic speedometer transducer on my
1989 9000t. It`s the part that threads into the gearbox. When I removed
the bad transducer I think a piece broke off inside the plastic gear in
the gearbox. I know this gear comes out because I have heard talk about
the different type of gears Saab has used over the years. I am hoping
that I can pull this gear and remove the broken piece and then install
the new transducer, which now will not go in far enough to catch the
threads because of the piece that is in the way. Does anyone know how
to remove this plastic gear from the gearbox. TIA

Jerry C
