>If you're a SAAB owner, you're obviously more >interested in quality than head-turning ability, There is a fine balance between BBBBASSSSS and accurate musical reproduction. For any true Audiophile, quality speakers are a must. There are no 6.5" that will faithfully reproduce a 20Hz pipe organ note or even a 50Hz tone from an upright Bass. Your best bet is a 10" or a 12" sub (one will suffice) coupled with a pair of 6.5"s up front. Why upfornt, you ask? Well, when was the last time your were at a concert and heard the bass from behind you? Proper level setting and crossover settings will allow the Sub and the Midbass to couple and give you an "upfront" bass image. I tweak competition cars as a hobby (for IASCA sanctioned events). Not to brag, but I do have a World Championship car from the 1998 IASCA Finals. You don't need the "boom/boom". You have enough room in the doors for a 6.5" and also for at least a 10" sub in the back. I'll be more than happy to answer other audio related questions, Just ASK! Check out http://members.aol.com/rta4saab/rta4saab.htm for a peek at the system in my 900S. I use a sinle 10" sub and a pair of 8" midbass drivers for my bass reproduction (PPI and JLAudioof course, DYNAUDIO represents the front stage!
