Indeed it is a scandal that the turning lights aren't at the right site of your steering wheel, We had this discussion before, GM brought in the money and that was good for Saab but unfortunately the most important market (and please US readers, this is not an offense, it is just a remark) for Saab is the US at this point. Another example confirms this : in Belgium Saab is loosing 100's of clients every year (and that is a lot if you see that they sell at max 2000 Saabs a year(I don't know the correct figure, probably it is even less)) because they don't have a diesel-engine in the Saab 9-5. Saab found it (and one can understand it) more important to fit the V6 in the 9-5 than a good diesel engine. I think it is the same with your right hand drive. They didn't care about redesigning it because it is a small market after all. I don't agree with the window switches though (at least not on a 9000 CSE and those are pretty much the same as the 9-5). The argument of the toll drive isn't that impressive, maybe you should place your coins under your park brake before you start driving. I drove a 9-5 and didn't have a single problem with activating the cruise control. It is on precisely the same place as on the 900 and 9000 and 9-3. About the electric chairs, I saw other postings about that, I once heard a guy complaining at my dealer's that the seats on his 9000 didn't have the memory. I tried it out and it worked for me but I don't know about the 9-5. About the armrest, again I don't know, on the 9000 it is light as a fether (as a matter of speach of course). The matter of room in the doors, well all the safety features caused the room in the car for maps, papers.... to diminish very hard. It is a problem in every car. Since you don't have a single good thing to say about your 9-5 I suggest you sell it and buy a 9000 CSE, a lot of luxury. Johan 83 900 GLi 94 9000 CS 94 9000 CSE
