Debra, A common problem with pre-87 900's with the metal heat control valve was that the valve would not shut the heat off completely. Remove the left speaker grill,(T10 screws), and look to see the rod that turns when you turn the temp knob. The rod that turns is connected to the valve. If it is black plastic, then the valve has been replaced and this is probably not the problem. If it is metal it will have to be replaced. The center vent never gets heat. Pat
