I think the two problems are related this is most likely caused by a bad vehicle speed sensor which is the reason the speedo/odo do not work the ECU needs vehicle speed info to know to inject fuel or not depending on engine RPM vs. vehicle speed which tells it if the car is engine braking or the engine needs to idle. > >Since posting the message below, I have had a chance to get a better >idea of what is going on (symptoms).
