Subject: Re: need help on buying 85 900S

I would say $2000 is a little high for a 85 900S in the condition you describe but not too bad. I have been trying to sell my 85 900Turbo for $2995 since February and it is in excellent condition. I recently lowered the asking price to $2500 and got a few more calls. I currently have a buyer who has put down a deposit, but has not seen the car. The 900S does not have the 16 valve engine which I consider the minimum someone should be looking for. I don't know what area you are in, but I regularly see these listed in the $1300 - $1700 range here in San Diego. You are the final judge of the condition and the problems. Having the new wiring harness is a big plus. This was the time frame of all the deteriorating insulation. The headliner is a pain, but cheap to take care of as a DIY. Is that cracking leather on the seats or some structural problem? The mileage sounds low but the power steering is a sore point and you might have to plan on replacement.
