I've had my 9-5 SE V6 sedan for 7 months now, and it's had no major problems. The biggest thing that came up was the plastic moulding on the outside bottom edge of the driver's seat, where the seat memory buttons are located, became loose and had to be replaced. The car is a delight to drive, and begs for me to find some excuse to get out and cruise around in it. In fact, because I bought it from an out-of-state dealer, the first trip home was trying because we couldn't use cruise control during the engine break-in -- and the car runs so smoothly and energetically that you'll be doing 90 M.P.H. on the Interstate without realizing it until you look down. If you keep near the speed limit, it feels agonizingly slow, because the car seems to keep whispering to you "I can go faster... I can do 149 M.P.H., you know..." The seats are very comfortable on long trips, especially with the heated/ventilated leather seats. The ventilation isn't just a gimmick. If you're the kind of person who is prone to getting a sweaty back, it's worth whatever sacrifice you need to make to get this feature. The only two problems I have with the car are that the front cupholder, while incredibly cool, only holds a medium drink and can't hold a sports-drink bottle; and the 1999 model doesn't have an automatic day/night rear-view mirror. I understand that the 2000 models have this feature. I had such a mirror in my previous car, and it's really useful in suburban driving where the ambient light varies quite a bit as you drive along. -- Rob Levandowski roblnopsamhiz.com
