Whenever there is a problem with electronic throttle or TCS, the accelerator pedal goes into mechanical backup where you'll have no boost and a greatly increased resistance in the pedal. This is a sign to get the car to the dealer for a diagnosis. I had it happen on my '93 9000 CSE and it turned out to be a faulty component in the traction control.
