Your dealer is obviously going for olympic gold. I replaced the antenna mast on my 87 9000S about 6 months ago. The mast was about $26 thru my Saab indy. They did not charge me for the installation. After I watched, I knew why. It is very simple as the other poster explains. Once the new nylon tail is in secure the nut. Once you have cycled the antenna a couple of times, you will be okay. The only complication is if the nylon tail on the old one breaks off down in the motor. Then you have to take the motor out and apart.
