This type of wear is common when the primary driver uses the clutch pedal for a foot rest - even momentarily. The slightest pressure on the pedal will cause an increase of hydraulic pressure - resulting in abnormal wear. If you are not shifting , KEEP YOUR FOOT OFF the PEDAL. Sorry, I don't mean to shout but, I see this type of damage a LOT.
