Hi I have a 9000 2.3T 1991 that is having starting problems. When I try to start the car it makes a strange noise and there is no attempt by the engine to fire, to make matters worse it is intermittent. You can turn the key 5/6 times and get nothing except the noise (from the starter motor) and at other times the car starts first time (temperature does not seem to be a factor). Sometimes when the car starts it makes that noise as well (as though the engine is already running and I am trying to start it). I took out the starter and everything looked OK. Anyone had this problem or know what it is? I would greatly appreciate any help. Andy
