You are right, the Saab isn't a BMW, but, in my opinion, I will take the Saab turbo 4 over the BMW 530's natuarally aspirated six. I imagine I would pick the M5's engine over the Saab's, but, for a small engine, that Saab plant has extreme torque over a very broad range. Very impressive.
