I've got a 2000 9-5 Aero, and it's a 4 banger. That's pretty much all Saab. The V6, I believe is a GM design, but it's not the V6 that's found in the Buicks -- 3800 Series II. I don't even think it's even the 3400 series either. Personally, the only reason I'd get the V6 were if I really wanted the low-end torque and couldn't afford the Aero with the HOT engine. -ME On 9/4/02 1:32 PM, in article o7rcnu8hnq4v5mfuv8bdf2jj4e6f7oj6alnopsamcom, "FLOOD" <nowaynopsamcom> wrote: > On Sunday evening, I was having a few glasses of wine, when I was > interrupted by the local Redneck contingent (simple, uneducated > people), and I was told that my SAAB 9000 Aero is simply a "GM" and > that the 1999 SAAB 9.5 engines are taken from the Buick Regal.
