When I passed at 33, I didn't think to even look at what a Saab would cost to insure, never mind buy, and so started my skoda obsession, and my first two cars, an Estelle bought for £90 that I must have spent nearly £1000 on including 5 new tyres (£200) but still looked as rough as a bears arse, and my Favorit which I bought for £80, but needed about £350 to get it fully roadworthy and functional + £700 on the backbox, speakers, CD player, bucket seats sports steering wheel, gear knob, and pedal covers. For what I have spent, I could have gotten a nice T16, and modded it well (and worth modding). Or I could have gotten and old dog, and been put off for life. > > Sometimes I do quite > > fancy a Pontiac Grand Prix 450. The Grand Prix was wider and longer than a Trans-AM, one I used to see was Electric Blue with a white vinyl roof, and porthole side windows for the rear seats (looked standard), with 2 doors. Wouldn't surprise me if it was. Remember a lot a cars as they are being designed are rallyed as chopped about previous versions. It may have been an early 900 styling excersise badged as, and based on a 99, but shelved for the design that was produced, but then used as an inspiration for the facelifted ones? -- Carl Robson http://www.bouncing-czechs.com
