If your 95 900 SE is a V-6 like one of mine, the major cost in thermstat replacement is actually the labor to install it. BRI Imports in Ok City charged $220 labor to install a $60 thermostat, since they had to remove the intake plenum to get to the thermostat. Saabs are expensive to maintain (especially the V-6s). As an aside, after my son wrecked my other 900 SE V-6, I replaced it with a Saturn SC-2, strictly because I wanted to be able to afford the maintenance costs while he's away at college.
