Actually, that is the entire joke: The claim that Saabs are assembled around the heater fan motor (so you have to remove everything else on the car to access it). That is clearly an exaggeration, some models are worse than others, and access may have improved for newer models. I haven't done this work myself (yet), so I'm not laughing too hard.
