Subject: Audible Lights On Warning

Just bought a '97 900 XS Talladega and we're delighted with it. I'd be very grateful for a few answers. Should there be some audible alarm to let us know we've left the lights on ? At night - there's no problems for obvious reasons ! But on grey mornings and afternoons - and we have a lot of 'em here in the UK - it's very easy to forget. All our cars over the last twenty years have 'dinged' or 'buzzed' to warn us dummies - so we're out of practice. Seems odd that such a simple - yet useful feature was left out. Will a Clarion CDC 634 6 CD changer communicate with the Saab head unit ? I can get a S/H one, but I've read various posts from the alt.autos.saab archive which seem to raise doubts. I need to change a cracked reflective decor panel on the tailgate. I haven't managed to get a service manual yet - so can anyone tell me how I do it ? Best regards Steve
