Should I go ahead and put The classic 900 is known to be one of the easiest cars there is to do clutch work in. I have only worked on a 99 which involves more disassembly since the radiator is in the way. > in a new clutch while I'm in there? The clutch works fine (when it > works) but it has probably over 100,000 km. I would swap the disc as it is probably 2/3 worn out by now, so the remaining 1/3 represents something like DM50.- But then many mechanics would say the the pressure plate and the release bearing should be swapped at the same time. It's a question of cost, and being willing to risk having to do the job twice (second time is many times easier, remember). If it was a 9000 I would agree. Mine has lasted almost 300000 now. The release bearing is beginning to make sounds, and a slight judder when hot is perhaps an indication of a bad pressure plate. But being a 99, I think I'll leave it as it is. Frode
