Subject: 900C Instrument cluster diagram

Hello SAAB-fans, Although some of of you have warned against it, I've taken to the conversion of a 1987 900S (US model with 2.0L i N.A) to a 2.0L 16V Turbo (Complete engine swap). In the process I've also swapped the rear axle as well as the front wheel hubs to upgrade to the new 9000-type brakes. This also resulted in some changes to the hand break mechanism as it now works on the rear wheels. I got me a turbo engine from a 1988 US-model 900 T16 Convertible that also supplied the APC-box, ignition electronics, I.C and other hardware like the pressure sensor& overpressure switch, the oil cooler and upgraded A.C. pump (R134). All in all it has kept me from the street for quite some time now but I'm now on track rebuilding this baby. The Turbo engine is now in place and I've altered the wiring taking the EZK-stuff out and the APC-box in, changed the ingition/knock sensor, APC-switch, Turbo pressure transducer/over-pressure switch, etc and in the process also swapped the Instrument cluster. As I was about to prime the engine I hooked up a battery with the ignition still off. Much to my surprise I noticed that the green left arrow on the instrument cluster was lit, no blinking or anything, solid on. From the original Factory shop manuals that I bought together with this car in US in 1987, there was no difference in the electrical diagrams for the instrument cluster between the 2.0L N.A. and the Turbo version. Nevertheless, I pulled the Turbo Intrumentcluster and compared it side- by-side with the non-Turbo one and must conclude that the printfoil(s) and connections to the 2 connectors are quite different! Sure, I could put the non-Turbo cluster back in and get me an extra turbo pressure gauge, but I'd rather have it in the cluster. Also, in the meantime the family moved back to Europe and here we deal with KM/h in stead of Miles/h. That includes the odometer. And although the donor car was a US 1988 convertible, it probably had it's instrument cluster replaced when imported in Europe as it is indicating KM/h and not Miles/h. As far as I can make out there are 2 labels on the back of the Turbo cluster: Label 1. 111 099/026/004 85 89 343 12V ?= 1008 Label 2. 1.81 8/233/4 85 67 778 Could anybody help me to the diagrams of the Turbo cluster so I can make out what connections have moved to what connector position and see if it is do-able to change the wiringloom of the car. I would be pleased to hear your suggestions and views on this problem. Wil. 1987 900S --> 900T 1986 9000CS 2.0i 1992 9000CD 2.3T FP
