Subject: oil drain plugs on C900's with auto transmissions

I've just checked under my donor car's manual transmission and the two drain plugs are clearly marked as 'gearbox' and 'engine'. On my 1985 900i with auto transmission there look to be two drain plugs where on the manual transmission there is one, and both aren't labelled. I presume one drains the engine oil and one drains the transmission fluid. Any pointers on which one is which? It doesn't really matter since I have plenty of new auto transmission fluid spare, but I'd like to know for future reference. Is there a diagram or online reference with pics of the underside of the borg-warner type 37 auto transmissions to show which drain plug is which? Also, I'm keen to replace the auto transmission filter and I think that the skid plate needs to come off to access the ATF cover. Is that correct?
