Read the policy page - there is no "bid acceptance." The entire ebay construct is to facilitate a future purchase, not any agreement between the two parties to execute a transaction. Ebay has *guidelines* for aborting the transaction, and frowns upon "I changed my mind" as a reason to abort, but because the entire process is non-binding it really doesn't matter what Ebay would prefer you do (from a legal perspective). If you decide you don't want to sell your car or that you don't want to buy the car for any reason, there is nothing about the Ebay Motors "process" that would create a legal obstacle for doing so. "I don't want to do this anymore" is it.
This is *it*:
"A non-binding bid is a bid that shows a buyer's interest in purchasing an item, but it doesn't create a formal contract between the buyer and the seller."
Winning an Ebay Motors auction is literally winning a place in line.
