I'm too far away... but... have you looked into the customs/border aspects of this if you are in the USA? It used to be Canadians were shopping for American vehicles (when our dollar was strong), but bringing them across the border was a nuisance (doable, but required some paperwork and possibly mechanical changes also). There were businesses that popped up to help people buy cars over the border! Now the Canadian dollar is weak compared to the USA, but car prices are higher here also (usually)... so I'm not sure it's a money saver unless you found a special car.

The other thing - the last car you looked at was a Viggen from sunny California. Cars up here are a whole different kettle of fish. Barrie is in the salt belt and most likely there is rust to deal with, probably just superficial (fender dog ears etc), but every nut/bolt/whatever will be much harder to work with than if it was a southern car... If you are lucky, the PO will have coated everything in oil spray, but then everything will be better, but covered in mess... Not sure what part of the USA you are in and your experience in this regard - New Englanders will know what I'm saying, but if eg you were from Arizona, this car will probably be different to work on, that's for sure! Just wanted to forewarn you - you may be fully aware already of this.

good luck!
