I get mine Rust Checked. I think that is not too common in the USA, but Krown and Rust Check are 2 of the most popular up here.
The problem with those types is they are messy and need to be reapplied annually. I'm due on one of my cars now. They do work well to prevent rust, but soften rubber parts.
I've heard mixed reviews on Ziebart here, but it may be because there are more good options readily available in Canada vs the USA. It is definitely much less popular than Krown or Rustcheck. If Ziebart works well and is cleaner, that might be a definite positive. Rust check is very good at inhibiting rust. The thin stuff creeps up surfaces and deep into seams. The only parts of my cars with rust are places that got missed. The thick stuff can make a waterproof coating for months with no moisture penetration (used for under coating)... basically the principle is like storing steel parts in oil. Nothing complicated at all... but it is messy!!
