Yes , BUICK ? it is cheap as they cannot sell them !YOU get what you pay for ! if all you want is cheap it will suffice . May the saab gods have mercy on your soul !
IMHO it is an OPEL car which means it may soon go the way of Saab ! OPEL was unloaded by GM to PSA and they are in deep doo doo financially ! OPEL: has lost $ for decades ! is a VERY unpopular car in Germany ! sells few ! only reason OPEL was not killed years ago was the german labor unions who demanded it be kept afloat !
Think about your parts situ too ! the last saabs were very OPEL based ( w/ tousands of changes AND IMPROVEMENTS ) BTW we only STILL have 95% of parts available as SAAB was a bitsa car w/ parts made by over 200 companies and the Swedish govt paid MILLIONS to start ORIO (saab parts ) and continues to support the million + saab cars still on the road !
As far as Motor Trend ? that article was a comparison someone had to win and MT is well known as a industry kiss-ass that never drove a car they did not like !
Funny how the MT article did not mention, at ALL the HORRIBLE faults that car and driver did ! BIAS and fake news ! really irresponsible journalism ! LOL
Our Saabs still have parts and will suffice for many years ! just keep fixing them and keep your local saab god employed and open ! We just ordered a used motor as our 01' 9-5 SE motor over heated and froze up on a 117 Deg F day ! @145K miles the 'orrible 3.0 liter v-6 has a reputation for doing this! we will find a way to mount a aftermarket temp probe and guage that does not read AIR temp wwhen all the water leaks out ! LOL
