Tire Pressure
Posted by R. Scott V. Paterson (more from R. Scott V. Paterson) on Mon, 13 Mar 1989 11:04:39
I have a pretty vague question for you. It's about tire pressures. What is the general rule of thumb for tire pressure? Now I realize that different tires require different pressures, but what I mean is, how do you adjust tire pressure for heavy loads, such as a your saab loaded with your entire room as you come homefrom school, or a light load when the car is empty and is travelling long distances? My Gislaved's didn't come with a manual and I seethat the side of the tire indicates that 44 p.s.i. is the correct pressure,if I remember correctly. Yet, I don't think this pressure is correctin all situations, maybe that's just the maximum? I also rememberreading something in the Saab manual about pressure. Can anyoneclear this up for me?Thanks very much-rsvprsvpno39sdcx6spamx782dartmouth.edursvpno39sdcx6spamx782dartcms1.bitnet
