Brake Squeal
Posted by Huay-Yong Wang (more from Huay-Yong Wang) on Sun, 26 Mar 1989 22:14:07
Need some advise from you guys....Well, sometime ago I got my front brake pads replaced bythe dealer (Don't ever go to Scott Wallace Saab in Briarcliff Manor, NY).The bonehead who did my brakes somehow did not adjust the handbrakeproperly (that's what they told me) which resulted in my brakes beingheld too tight. I did not discovered it until smoke started pouring outfrom the wheels and the brakes was badly scorched. I brought the carback to the dealer and they assured me that nothing was damaged andthey only need to readjust the brakes. Well, to make the story short, the brakes start to squeak very badly after the incident. I wentback to the dealer numerous times, and in last visit they decided toreplace the front pads. So far, the problem still has not go away.Any suggestions?PS: Can anyone tell me how to launch a complain against a Saab dealership?- Huay-Yong.
