Problems with '80 Turbo
Posted by Rick Palmer (more from Rick Palmer) on Mon, 1 May 1989 11:51:56
Last January I bought the aforementioned car, which shows 97K miles. Ihave the problem with steering described in #117. Thanks for #118 and #125.[mod note: 117: Help Front End]Another problem: (?) The car it has power steering, but feels like itdoesn't. A repairman told me this is because the orifaces in the rackare clogged. I've never driven another Saab, so I don't know if thisis normal.Another problem: One of the lights that illuminate the guages (the oneon the tach side) usually doesn't come on until after a bump, if atall. Is this a standard problem, or just a loose bulb or something. How hard is it to get to?Also: I hit a deer a few weeks ago, and need the following parts: (inorder of importance) (Driver's side) of headlight on an '80)I'd be interested in either used, if anyone has them or knows of agood source, or new if the price is significantly better than the listprice at my local dealer.ThanksRick Palmer
