Idle problem
Posted by Steven A. Bolton (more from Steven A. Bolton) on Wed, 3 May 1989 14:41:43
Maybe some of you experts out there can help me out. I'mnot sure but I seem to remember a discussion about a coldstart value (or something like that) which would keep a saab from starting. This may be the same thing, but I'mnot sure.I have a 1987 900s that runs just fine. However, every once ina while, after the car is started, the idle will drop till the engine almost dies. Then something takes over and the enginerevs up to ~2000 rpm and settles down. Then the pattern repeats.drops till you almost die and then cranks up again. This happenswhen the car is cold AND when the car has just been run. (warmengine.). and you first (re)start the car. This effect does go away shortly after the car was started.Anyone have an idea about this?steve bolton -> {decvax, mit-eddie}!genrad!sab
