Reprogramming the climate control on a 2001 9-5? [saabnet.com]
Posted by Adam S. Moskowitz - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e (more from Adam S. Moskowitz - http://saabnet.com/tsn/forms/e) on Wed, 3 Nov 2004 21:26:03

Has anyone found a way to reprogram the climate controls in a 2001 9-5?
I'm so frustrated with mine that driving home tonight I was ready to
tear the controls out of the dash!

I absolutely *HATE* that my car tries to be smarter than I am. If I want
heat, well, I want heat. I do NOT want heat and a bit of cool air
blowing in my face! And when I want the heat blowing on my feet, I want
it on my feet regardless of how hot I set the temperature. No, I don't
want it blowing in my face and at full fan speed just because I set the
temperature to 'HI'.

This is just bullshit.

Please, someone tell me there's a way to fix this. Or that there's a
part I can buy that tells the climate control system to do what I tell
it to do AND NOTHING MORE! Please?

Thanks.
