RallyHo! Motorsports announces sponsor for 2000 Season and new website
KEENE, NH -- RallyHo! Motorsports announced season sponsorship by leading
Saab retailer and Service Center, Roberti Motorcars of Kingston, NY.
Roberti will provide key support for the ProRally team as they go for class
victories at upcoming events, including the Susquehannock Trail Pro Rally in
Wellsboro, PA, this weekend, and the Maine Forest Rally in late July.
Team driver Mike White competes throughout the northeast US and in Canada in
his specially prepared 1980 Saab 99 Gli.
'We're excited to have Roberti's enthusiasm for Saabs with us,' said White.
'This is a natural fit. We both continually prove how durable and reliable
Saabs are; Roberti through his many happy customers, and I through punishing
the car in rallies.'
Roberti Motorcars president Lou Roberti has also been instrumental in
planning the 2000 national Saab convention in Hudson Valley, NY. The event
takes place July 7-9 with track days at Lime Rock Park July 5-6.
'Saabs have a rich history in rally, we're very happy to be a part of
RallyHo! Motorsports efforts to help continue that tradition,' Roberti said.
SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) ProRally is often described as 'Real cars,
on real roads, going real fast.' While rally cars must remain licensed and
registered for normal street use, they also must be able to withstand
incredible punishment on rough forest roads at racing speeds. Rally teams
race against the clock on closed roads, fastest time wins. Last year,
RallyHo! Finished 26th out of 80 starters, 4th in class at STPR.
Roberti also said supporting RallyHo! Motorsports will help promote upcoming
enhancements to his Internet site, www.roberti.com.
'Scaling up our online presence is a big part of our future,' Roberti said.
'Rally enthusiasts appreciate Saab's rich competition heritage and this
partnership should give us great exposure in that market.'
RallyHo! Motorsports also released their new website this week,
www.rallyhomotorsports.com, designed in conjunction with Nanuke Systems of
Littleton, CO (www.nanuke.com). The website will be a showcase for team
news and updates, as well as information about sponsors and other Saab and
rally related events.
'The web is a great way for fans to keep up with the latest on the team and
the sport of rally,' White said.
RallyHo! Motorsports, took home respectable finishes in several national
events in 1999, the team's first full season of competition. The team's 2000
rally schedule includes events in Maine, Pennsylvania, and Quebec, Canada.
Also continuing support for the 2000 season is: Import Parts Specialists of
Boise, ID (www.importpartsspec.com), City Tire of Keene, NH and Nokian Tires
(www.nokiantyres.com) for winter and tarmac tire support.
