fuel economy calculation

Coincidence? My 95 9000CS also reports about 1 mpg on the optimistic side.
Supposedly the computer can be reset by the dealer, but I've never
bothered. Just look at the readout and deduct 1 mpg is much easier. I
would suspect the factory setting was influenced by the marketing department.
