Paul,

Brighter bulbs will also be hotter. Hotter may melt and discolor things. Not
good.

I have had gool luck painting the area around bulbs to dim dash lights on
motorcycles. First I would clean the area around the bulbs so the surfaces
are as bright as possible. I would also clean the back of the dash so light
could go through easy. You could possibly paint the back of the bulb
enclosure silver to reflect more light forward. Perhaps painting the bulb
silber BELOW the filliment would direct more light in the right direction.

I would also make sure the bulbs are getting full voltage. A dirty rehostat
could sap a few tenths of a volt. Light output is a huge function of voltage.

Drive Safe,

Joe
